ABOUT
Whitney Houser is a film and television editor and filmmaker focused on character-driven stories. Houser views editing as the art of shaping story through emotion, rhythm, and collaboration, crafting work that feels both intentional and cinematic.

Houser wrote, co-directed, and edited Leading Man, which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Festival, winning Most Moving Narrative at the Moving the Spotlight event. The film went on to screen at multiple Oscar-qualifying festivals, including Out On Film, where it received the Jury Award Runner-Up for Best Drama Short. The film's casting, led by Tineka Becker, CSA, earned a 2025 Artios Award nomination.​

Houser edited the feature film Aliens Abducted My Parents and Now I Kinda Feel Left Out, an Official Selection of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, with their editorial approach featured in Filmmaker Magazine.​​

Beyond film, Houser’s earlier editing work spans a range of television projects, including Impractical Jokers, Forged in Fire and
Studio C. Working across comedy, competition, and drama has informed a clear sense of pacing, performance and narrative structure.
